Newsflash: There are hip people in Oak Cliff

Jim Schutze at the Observer got on a bike and rode around Oak Cliff with Mariana Griggs of Oak Cliff Community Gardens, and he concluded that we’re cool, even proclaiming that the old part of Oak Cliff is "the new Austin." I’m not sure I like that. Don’t tell Austin we have jobs and affordable housing plus a hip, bike-riding, live-local culture.

It is a very flattering story about 25-40-somethings in Oak Cliff, whom he dubs "bikos." But seriously. Let’s keep this to ourselves.
