This weekend: Muppets, movie, music, cocktails

Tonight, Thursday June 24, “The Muppets Take Manhattan” at the Belmont Hotel pool.

Comedy/horror flick “Blood on the Highway” screens at 8 p.m Saturday at the Texas Theatre. Tickets are $5.

At the Kessler Theater this weekend: Exit 380, Andrew DeLaney & the Horse You Rode in On and Jayson Bales perform Friday at 7 p.m. Dan Dyer, Bryan Wakeland and Nicholas Altobelli perform Saturday at 7 p.m. Those shows are $10. And then a free show is Sunday at 5 p.m. with Michael Henry Tillman.

The Dallas Association of Style Houses is throwing a benefit for the Dallas Humane Society from 8 p.m.-midnight Saturday at Studios 1019. The event features work from artist Abdul Ameer Alwan, an Iraqi refugee who lives in East Dallas. General admission tickets are $70 and VIP tickets are $100.
