Can ‘Gina the Giraffe’ prevent graffiti?

I’m not convinced. Gina is a pink giraffe mascot that the city is using in an attempt to convince children that graffiti is bad, mmkay?

Art-based anti-graffiti programs like CliffWalls are promising. But “Gina the Giraffe”, who gestures but doesn’t speak, seems about as profound as Just Say No.
