This weekend: movies, the blues, Christmas lights

The Texas Theatre has “two hours of holiday slashers” starting at 10 tonight, Dec. 23. But before that, the “Nutcracker: Ballet in HD” screens at 5:30 p.m. On Friday, they’re screening “Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale”, and on Sunday, they’re showing Tom Huckabee’s “Carried Away” at 2 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Kessler Theater has “Blue Monday” with Hunter Hendrickson and Jason Elmore Monday. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

Don’t forget to check out Christmas in the OC, the over-the-top Christmas lights display on Montreal. It’s up through Jan. 1.
