City council approves bike plan, historic protection for Adamson

Oak Cliff was all over the Dallas City Council agenda today.

City Council unanimously approved the Dallas Bike Plan. And they voted in favor of granting historic protection to Adamson High School, which was built in 1915 had been slated for the wrecking ball not so long ago.

DISD is building a replacement high school nearby. For some reminiscing about Adamson, check out Gayla Kokel’s “Back Story” column in the June Advocate. It’s all about the recent Adamson all-class reunion.
