There is a plan to create bike lanes that would connect the Bishop Arts District to the Trinity Trails, and the Trinity Trails to the Katy Trail.

It’s one of those simple, big ideas from Jason Roberts and Team Better Block, and it’s part of the Dallas Bike Plan. But to get it done, they need to raise $75,000 in 20 days.

The City of Dallas, the Trinity Trust, DORBA, Groundwork Dallas and the Trinity Strand are working together with Team Better Block to complete the trail system.

Says the message from Roberts:

“With over nine miles of off-road trail already completed it is time to connect the Trinity with the Katy Trail and Bishop Arts District. The on-street bicycle facilities are set to be the first of our modern bicycle system plan.”

The Dallas Parks Foundation, under the Dallas Foundation, is collecting money for the bike-lane project. They are taking donations online here. Make sure you note “Trinity Trail Project” in the comment section.
