Mavs, South Dallas Cultural Center announce Black History Month student art contest

mavs logoStudents, what does equality mean to you?

Middle and high school students throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area are invited to answer that question through art — drawing, painting, photography, sculpture or any visual medium — for a chance to win Dallas Mavericks prizes and recognition at a home game in March.

The contest, sponsored by the Dallas Mavericks and South Dallas Cultural Center, will produce three winners.

Winning projects will be displayed in the Augusta Savage Youth Gallery at the South Dallas Cultural Center April 6- April 30.

Entries are due Feb 28. Applications are available here: http://www.nba.com/mavericks/sites/mavericks/files/elements/bhm_application_2013.pdf.
