The peackocks of Beckley Club Estates are a mysterious quirk of that hidden little neighborhood. We put them on our January list of things to do in your tourist shoes in Oak Cliff.
Evidently, not everyone in Beckley Club is thrilled about the fowl. A neighbor complained about them to animal control, and the city is compelled to take action, either to reduce the number of birds or remove them entirely.
Neighbors sprang into action this week with a facebook page and a change.org petition to “Save the OC Peacocks.”
