rooafter-e1283535968561-300x22111Preservation Dallas will honor the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts with its 2013 Stewardship Award in a May ceremony.

The society won the award because of its dedication to maintaining the historic Turner House at 401 N. Rosemont, which serves as a clubhouse, events center and community gathering spot.

The society has raised money and invested thousands of dollars to maintain the 101-year-old house, a modified foursquare prairie, which the society purchased in 1957.

The Dallas Power and Light building on South Tyler also will receive a preservation award at the May 15 ceremony.
