A new coworking space and workshop studio is set to open June 15 on North Marsalis Avenue.
Make Space is a 2,750-square-foot venue designed to serve as a “third place” for Dallas creatives. As a sister project to Mosaic Makers Collective, an artisan community founded in 2018 by Katy Sensenig Schilthuis, the venue will include a photo studio, a podcast studio, workshop rooms, coworking and dedicated evening programming, according to a press release.
Classes will be taught on painting, ceramics, jewelry-making, writing, business and wellness. Additionally, the space will include daily coworking memberships, hourly studio rentals and recurring community events.
“We’ve spent eight years and more than 300 artisans figuring out what makers actually need to grow their craft into a livelihood,” Schilthuis said in a press release. “Make Space is that answer — a real home for the people who’ve been working out of coffee shops, garages, and borrowed living rooms. It’s been part of our vision since day one.”
Make Space will be located at 514 N. Marsalis Ave.
