Major Santos Cadena
Police chief David Brown today promotes 24-year Dallas police veteran Santos Cadena to deputy chief of the Southwest Patrol Division, which includes Oak Cliff.
The division has undergone several changes in leadership since Vernon Hale took the role in 2010; he has since moved to the city’s Southeast Patrol Division, where he serves as deputy chief.
Since then, the division has been run by Gilberto Garza. And just this past August, William Marks was named to the Southwest Patrol Division’s highest post.
