The good news: there is a two-hour gap between start times, so it would be possible to run the levees starting at 8 a.m. (if you’re really fast, there is a 10k too) and then line up to dash for beads at 10 a.m.

The levee run starts near Trinity Groves and crosses Large Marge twice. Dash for the Beads is not just a race but a party. It starts and ends at Kidd Springs Park, and the after party includes beer and wine, live music and a costume contest. Plus, it benefits neighborhood schools.

If running isn’t your thing, March 1 also is Yoga on the Bridge, a $5 yoga class starting at 1 p.m. on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.
