Coming soon: Krispy Kreme and Chick-Fil-A

1560630_10152177482161001_127341687_nA Chick-Fil-A store is under construction in Oak Cliff … kind of. It’s adjacent to the Dante’s “Inferno” Walmart on Cockrell Hill at Interstate-30.

Also coming soon to that already traffic-packed intersection, adjacent to Whataburger, is Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Who knew they were still building Krispy Kreme stores? It seems like only yesterday they had over expanded and appeared to be heading toward bankruptcy. But Bloomberg reports that Krispy Kreme is making a comeback, expanding again.

That shopping area is a fast-food vortex, also featuring the nearest Taco Cabana, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit and Del Taco (Krispy Kreme is going into the old Del Taco space) to North Oak Cliff.

I think Krispy Kreme is replacing the Del Taco.

I’d kill for a Panera Bread, Corner Bakery, or a Jason’s Deli.
