Drive by: Stock and Barrel

photo 2

Stock and Barrel is the new restaurant under construction in the old Safety Glass building at 316 W. Davis near Bishop that chef Jon Stevens, formerly of Nosh Euro Bistro, is planning. Stevens has described the menu as “Americana.”

The restaurant was supposed to open in “early 2014.” But transforming the Safety Glass building is taking a little more than just paint and elbow grease.

It looks like workers have taken it down to the studs, and they’re replacing the entire roof. Here’s a view from the rear of the building.
