It’s not even springtime yet, and your Oak Cliff weekend is blowing up.

The Dash for the Beads 5k and 1-mile runs start at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Kidd Springs Park. The O’s perform at the after party. Ten dollars buys a beer cup for Four Corners and Peticolas brews or a plate of barbecue. For $15, both beer and barbecue.

The OC Masquerade Ball is at the Kessler Theater Saturday night. Club Wood, Zydeco Blanco and Down Davis perform. Tickets cost $50 and include a Creole buffet.

West Davis from Rosemont to Zang will be closed starting at 3:30 p.m. Sunday for the big Oak Cliff Mardi Gras parade, which starts at 4 p.m.

Bishop Arts hair salon Studio 410 is planning a Mardi Gras party starting around 6 p.m. Sunday with performances from DJ Tony Schwa and rappers Dustin Cavazos and Picnic.

If that’s not enough for you, the All Out Trinity Festival also is this weekend. It also starts with a 5k, the Trinity River Levee Run, at 8 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Groves.

RAFT Dallas hosts a market from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. between the levees near the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. There will be local food and goods vendors, a beer garden and at 6 p.m., Art Conspiracy and the Boy Scouts of Dallas will light campfires.

Yoga on the Bridge starts at 1 p.m Saturday on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. A $5 donation is requested, and you must register in advance.
