Davis Street Espresso is now open Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Still closed on Sundays.

La Calle Doce has this Lent special: lentil soup, one shrimp enchilada, nopalitos con huevos (cactus with eggs), fish croquette with chili con queso and capirotada (bread pudding), for $11 at lunch and $13 at dinner.

Smoke, the restaurant at the Belmont Hotel, is expanding to Plano. Our other trendy barbecue place, Lockhart Smokehouse, just opened a second restaurant there a couple of weeks ago.
