Work could begin in November, according to a presentation last week from City Councilman Scott Griggs.

The project, which is being paid for with 2006 bond election money, will take the trail from where it currently ends near the tennis courts on Kessler Parkway, past the golf course and up Colorado to Plymouth. On Colorado and Plymouth, the trail will be constructed by expanding the trail into the street.

The trail expansion will still allow for 10-t0-12-foot wide lanes for cars.

Expanding the trail also requires the Colorado Boulevard bridge.
