Ride with Bike Friendly Oak Cliff this month

Get to pedaling and mingle with your two-wheeling neighbors on Bike Friendly Oak Cliff social rides this month. The nonprofit has two social events coming up.

The first is the “rolling ribbon cutting”  Sunday, June 15, for the grand openings of the Continental Bridge Park, Trinity Skyline Trail and West Dallas Gateway Plaza.

The ride meets at 2 p.m. the east end of the Continental Bridge. But the grand opening of the bridge, Trinity River Revel, is an all-day affair.

The second event is the fifth-annual Oak Cliff Film Festival’s Polaroid ride. Two teams will compete to make a 15-second Instagram flick of Polaroids they take on a maximum two-hour ride around Oak Cliff.

That free event begins at the Texas Theatre and ends at Jefferson Tower, with a free rooftop film screening. Cameras and film are provided.

  1. […] Trinity River Revel is the name for massive grand-opening festivities for the Continental Bridge Park and the Trinity Skyline Trail. It starts with a 5k at 7 a.m. and includes a gospel brunch from noon-2 p.m., dances, camp fires and more events than we have the finger muscles to type. WANT MORE?
