One of the most legendary nightlife events of this past year is getting a repeat.

CineWilde, the LGBTQ monthly film series at the Texas Theatre, is bringing “Paris is Burning” back on Friday, Jan. 16. It’s hard to overstate how influential this documentary about ’80s drag queen ball culture in New York City has been. Consider that Madonna stole one of her most famous moves, the vogue, from it.

The January event will include a competitive community ball.

Photo editor Danny Fulgencio brought us this slideshow from last year’s ball. And one of the photos made our January cover story.
