Jingle Bells on Bishop kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, and continues through Saturday. This year’s event features a caroling contest from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday. Form a team of two or more and sign up to sing three songs for the judges — there are $850 in cash prizes.
The Winnetka Heights Holiday Home Tour is from noon-6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets to tour six homes costs $12 in advance or $15 on the day of the tour.
A tamales competition, Tamale Libre!, starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.
