Fiber art show opens at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center

Fiber artists Analise Minjarez and Sarita Westrup traveled the Texas/Mexico border from El Paso to McAllen between Dec. 23-Jan. 4.

Minjarez and Westrup, who co-founded Prismatic Earth, participated in workshops, exhibitions and studio visits along the way.

The journey culminates in Tierra Firme, a free exhibit of their work at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center, which opens Friday, Jan. 23 and runs through Feb. 21. An opening reception is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31.
