This weekend: Trails, bike rides, choir performance, film fest preview

Saturday, June 6, is National Trails Day. Here are a couple of ways to get involved.

Bike Friendly Oak Cliff offers two events this weekend. A bicycle tour of Fort Worth breweries is Saturday. Meet at Union Station at 11:30 a.m. to bring your bike on the TRE, or meet at T&P Station in Fort Worth for a bicycle tour of four breweries. And then Sunday is the seersucker picnic ride. This is the spring version of BFOC’s tweed ride. Wear your seersucker finest and meet at Klyde Warren Park for a ride to Lee Park in Turtle Creek. Bring a picnic, lawn games, kites, pets, kids and anything else that seems appropriate.

The Credo Choir performs a free concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at Kessler Park United Methodist Church, in advance of their upcoming tour in Iceland.

The Texas Theatre offers an advance screening of one of the films from the upcoming Oak Cliff Film Festival. “The Beaver Trilogy” screens at 7 p.m.

The Mountain Goats perform at the Kessler Monday, with Pinkish Black opening.

Edit to the meet up times posted here: 11:30 am is the meetup time in Ft. Worth NOT in Dallas. It’s up to the participant whether they take the TRE, drive or ride.
