The best home and garden store in Oak Cliff is …

brumley gardens

It’s one that’s closing, unfortunately.

Advocate readers voted Brumley Gardens the best home and garden store in Oak Cliff, and a few days later, the store owners announced it is closing.

Brumley opened its West Davis location in 2012, and it’s closing for a couple of reasons, store manager Marie Jenkins. Sales have been low because of spring flooding, and upcoming sewer maintenance on Davis will leave the street torn up for up to nine months.

The good news: Brumley is looking for another location in Oak Cliff. And their original location, which opened more than 20 years ago in Lake Highlands, is still open at 10540 Church.

Runner-up: Neighborhood
Third place: Fete-Ish
