The City of Dallas offers a free urban cycling seminar from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the main library, 1515 Young.

Bob Schneider plays two shows at The Kessler this weekend.

The Foundry has the band Marriages on Friday and then Jamaican Queens on Saturday. Both shows are free.

The Texas Theatre has a new Kurt Cobain documentary; “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”; and “The Tribe,” a feature film with no spoke dialog, about a deaf teenager at boarding school
