The festival that celebrates all things wind-powered andthe Trinity River is Oct. 24.
The free Trinity River Wind Festival has everything: Stunt-kite flying demonstrations, giant inflatable kites and kite-making workshops. And those are just the kite-related activities.
There will also be birds and bugs: Birds of prey from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, homing pigeons from the Trinity River Audubon Center and butterflies from Texas Discovery Gardens.
Plus, a children’s train, Frisbee dogs, ballet folklorico and more.
The festival is from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. near the Trinity River Overlook Park, at 146 Commerce.
