Buy a $25 ticket for Shop, Eat, Drink, PINK and receive discounts at businesses from Oct. 8-11. Ticket holders also are eligible for prize drawings, including dinner for two at Lucia. All proceeds from the fundraiser go to Methodist Health System Charlton Women’s Imaging Center to pay for mammograms for those who could not afford them otherwise.

CJ Critt, a storyteller and spoken-word artist who lives in Oak Cliff, is the headliner for the October edition of Poets on X+, from 8-10 p.m. Friday at Lucky Dog Books.

A Bike Friendly Oak Cliff group ride leaves at 3 p.m. from the Wild Detectives and will tour some of the childhood haunts of Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan before returning for an outdoor screening of “When Dallas Rocked,” the documentary about the importance of the Dallas rock-n-roll scene in the ’70s and ’80s.
