A jogger called 911 when he noticed a church on fire in the 800 block of Westmoreland around 6:30 this morning.

Two Dallas Fire Department trucks responded around 6:40, and a third was sent about 15 minutes later. CBSDFW, which sent a helicopter to the fire, reports that the church sanctuary from the air appears to be completely destroyed. Firefighters prevented the fire from moving to an adjacent community building.

The church is called Iglesias del Cristo Camino de Santidad. It originally was Beverly Hills Baptist Church.

No one was inside the church at the time of the fire, and no firefighters were injured.
