About 18 new Waffle House restaurants are in the works in the Dallas area, and the Georgia-based restaurant chain recently opened its first inner Dallas location on Ross Avenue at Garrett in East Dallas.

This store and the one on Ross, which are on busy streets but off the highway, indicate a new strategy with Waffle House locations, which typically have been placed on busy interstate highways.
