Two years ago she moved the business, Winter Lennon, into a 6,500-square-foot warehouse on West Davis and Edgefield, and she sells her fashion line in about 2,000 boutiques in the United States and Canada.

Now Winter Lennon is getting its own store in our neighborhood.

Duncan and her three employees (which include her mom) created a boutique at the front of their warehouse space, and it opens today.

Winter Lennon also offers boot socks, dresses, T-shirts and more in its online shop.

Duncan worked in real estate and banking when she was put on bed rest while pregnant with her twin daughters. Bored, she began designing boot socks and then dresses and devised a plan to start her own business.

She says she designs about 75 percent of the line and has it manufactured in China.

The shop at 606 N. Edgefield is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. A grand opening is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.
