The Dallas Police Department charged a second man in the September murder of an Oak Cliff store clerk.

James Otis Slaughter, 21, is accused in the Sept. 23 shooting death of 50-year-old Mowaffaw Shararah.

Police last week charged 22-year-old Lonzell Hunter in the early-morning robbery of Sunshine Food Mart on Cockrell Hill. The two also are suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven store on Singleton that same morning.

Slaughter is in the Dallas County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
