The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce holdsĀ its annual awards next week at the Kessler Theater.
The event is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday and costs $50.
State Rep. Rafael Anchia emcees the event, which includes the following awards and nominees:
Business of the year: OakFit, Jefferson Tower and The Local Oak
Event of the year: Christ Giving Outreach 2016, Concord Church-Together We Stand and Grand Dallas Streetcar Community Block Party
Community advocate of the year: Taylor Toynes (For Oak Cliff), Darla Shirley (Youth World) and Jeff Burgess (LockhartĀ Smokehouse)
Public servant of the year: Judge Juan Jasso
New business or development of the year: Southwest Center Mall, Commemorative Air Force, and KAI Texas.
