The project includes creating a four-lane roadway with bike lanes and wide sidewalks between Fort Worth Avenue and Singleton Boulevard. Work was supposed to begin in August, after AT&T relocated utilities.

But the project hasn’t started because the utilities haven’t been moved. City Councilman Scott Griggs reported Wednesday that AT&T now says the relocation will be complete in February.

“AT&T has missed deadlines for months on this project,” Griggs says.

Once work on the project begins, it is expected to take about 15 months.
