Greiner orchestra wins at Disney

The W. E. Greiner Middle School orchestra won first prize at the Festival Disney competition in Orlando last week.

Fifty-five students, their instructors and chaperones rode a bus to Orlando last Tuesday during spring break. They won the competition on Friday and returned home on Sunday.

The students competed against middle schools and high schools from several states, performing a Disney medley and two classical pieces.

Their orchestra instructors are Lupe Vargas-Garcia and Felipe Diaz.
