What was that blackout about in Oak Cliff last night?

About 20,000 homes and businesses in Oak Cliff went dark for a few minutes Monday night.

An Oncor representative says the brief blackout was caused by “a problem in the transmission line” that was quickly resolved. It didn’t have anything to do with overconsumption, and power was restored to everyone within an hour.

We had reports that power was out from Kessler Park and West Dallas to Mountain Creek Parkway. We’d missed the end of the Rangers game by the time the cable box came back. A brief reminder of how good we have it.
