An Oak Cliff classic returns next month.
A grand-opening party for Top Ten Records is from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2.
The geniuses behind the resurrection of the Texas Theatre and some of their friends founded a nonprofit that is taking over the 61-year-old record shop on Jefferson Boulevard.
Top Ten is still a record store, but it’s also becoming an archive. They’re creating an online database of rare video content related to Texas and Dallas. And they’ll have a lending library for members.
DJ sets will begin at 3:30 p.m., and there will be beer, craft soda and free Top Ten buttons.
