Neighbors attacked with assault rifle

Someone was attacked with an assault rifle near Martin Weiss Park earlier this month.

The Dallas Police Department hasn’t released many details in the crime, which happened in the 4000 block of Shelley Boulevard.

Two people driving a navy blue Nissan Versa fired an assault rifle at two people on the street around 5 p.m. Jan. 15. One of the victims was shot twice; no information is available about the victim’s injuries.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Detective B. Billings 214.671.3083. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to felony indictment in this case, 214.373.8477.

    assault rifle is a misnomer. the individual was shot with a rifle that cosmetically looked like a military-style rifle. that is a more accurate term
