El Corazon restaurant now open in McKinney

Tacos norteños and super nachos are less than an hour’s drive away.

The Cuellar family reopened its El Corazon restaurant concept in McKinney this week.

The family closed its Oak Cliff location and sold its 77-year-old building on Zang at Beckley in April 2017. A CVS store is under construction there now.

“April 29 last year was an emotional day for our family and customers,” Gilbert Cuellar Jr. stated in a media release. “The support we received from everyone was overwhelming. Our goal through this entire process has been to continue to proudly serve our family’s recipes for generations to come.”

The restaurant’s menu is the same.

To celebrate the reopening, the restaurant this week will have piñatas, prizes, maraichis and specials.

No need to drive that far for good Mexican food. They left plenty here.
