Dallas police found a United States Postal Service employee shot to death inside a box truck this morning.

Officers responded to a call near the main Dallas post office, at Beckley and Interstate 30 around 2:20 a.m. Monday.

They found the driver, and homicide detectives were called in. U.S. Postal Inspectors also are investigating. No information about the victim has been released.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Detective Walton, 214.671.3632 or 214.701.8453.

In a separate incident on Feb. 8, a Dallas Police squad car was fired upon from a location about a mile away from the site of this incident, although police don’t have any evidence that the two cases are related.
