Anson Jones Elementary staff members brought their students’ art projects to Philadelphia earlier this month.
The school’s 620 students participated in the Dream Line project, where they declare their goals on a sheet of paper.
“Some of these students had never really thought about the future before this project,” Anson Jones art teacher Candice Lindsay said. “The fact that these students sat down and thought about their dreams and were then able to visualize them, that could change the world.”
Lindsay traveled to Philadelphia May 5 with principal Alberto Herrera, first-grade teacher Shannon Kline and physical education teacher Michael Daleo. They put their school’s works on display, along with some from Arcadia Park Elementary, at the National Constitution Center on Independence Mall.
