Mammogram Poster Girls is the new nonprofit from Sheri Mathis, the fundraising dynamo behind Shop, Eat, Drink, Pink!, and they’re putting together a whole-hog dinner this weekend.

Chef Misti Norris will create a three-course dinner:

First
Grilled Okra and Farm Cheese
Pickled Shrimp, Seaweed Brined Cucumber
Misti’s famous Charcuterie

Next
Texas Grains Salad
Summer Vegetables
Peak Season Sun E Farms Tomato Salad, Rye, Fresh Herbs
Profound Kale Salad with Dill Vinaigrette and Pickled Pecans

Main
Kasu Cured Porchetta
Roasted Red Wattle Whole Hog provided by Legend Meats
Warm Potato Dressed With Black Butter
Black Pepper Sausage
Baskets Grill Bread, Garlic Pancake
Misti’s house-made condiments:
Mojo Picon
Fried Egg Vinaigrette

Emporium Pies is serving dessert, and Andy Frankel of Vineyard Brands is pairing the wine. Justo Blanco of Familia Events and Catering is pulling the whole thing together.

The dinner, on Saturday night at Chijmes event center on Zang, costs $125 per person, and all of the money goes to providing mammograms for men and women who otherwise couldn’t afford them.
