5 ways to Oak Cliff this weekend

Don’t miss the Suffers at the Kessler Friday night.

When that causes you wake up in an excellent mood, turn to the person next to you Saturday morning and say “Merry Christmas!” because, you know, it’s the first day of December.

Then get tipsy and limber at Oak Cliff Brewing Co.’s yoga at the brewery.

Take a nap and make plans to kickoff holiday-movie season with “Edward Scissorhands” at the Texas Theatre. The theater also hosts a screening of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” at the Majestic Downtown.

After Sunday morning breakfast, bring the kids to the Wild Detectives for 11 a.m. story time featuring Julia Donaldson’s “The Gruffalo” and “Room on the Broom.”

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the KNON toy drive at Top Ten Records. Stay for two trios and a solo at 6:30.
