The four-story Zang Flats, from developer Larkspur Capital, is planned forĀ 1102 N. Zang, replacing an old retail building at the edge of Lake Cliff Park.

The ground-floor units will be reserved as live/work units, and the complex will have a dedicated car-share service.

Larkspur’s Carl Anderson told the Dallas Morning News that the building reflects the 1920s architecture of Oak Cliff and will have a green roof to match the Joseph H. Malley Law Office, which was early Oak Cliff developer J.F. Zang’s own office building across the street.

Larkspur also is building TYPO Towns, 19 townhouses at 645 N. Tyler, near Kidd Springs Park. And they’re building Zang Towns, seven townhouses at 737 N. Zang, a couple of blocks from these apartments, and Bishop Arts Walk, 21 townhouses at 701 N. CrawfordĀ near Lake Cliff Park. Already completed is the Row on Elsbeth, 16 townhouses at 630 Elsbeth, near Bishop Arts.
