The White brothers have taken over a corner of the Bishop Arts District.
Brandon White opened Brass Tacks barber shop in a small space five years ago. That shop recently expanded into a larger adjacent space, and Brandon White’s wife, Katie Randle, opened a vintage clothing store where the barbershop was.
Two other White brothers, Shawn and Michael, took the tiny restaurant building that previously housed C. Señor and El Padrino, on West Davis at Bishop.
They opened The Last Stand a couple of months ago.
The restaurant serves burgers, tacos, bowls and burritos with nothing on the menu over $10.
Shawn and Michael White had no experience running a restaurant, but they previously owned a hospitality staffing company, which is still in business, with their mother.
They fenced off the stand’s seating area so they could get a license to sell alcohol, and they offer beer and margaritas.
The Last Stand is open noon-10 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday and closed Monday.
