What’s open? Not much. We couldn’t find any place on our side of the river taking reservations via Open Table on Thanksgiving.
Norma’s Cafe is always open on Thanksgiving. Volunteers serve thousands of free meals every year to anyone who wants one. This is the 31st year, and Norma’s has served more than 160,000 Thanksgiving meals over the decades.
Spiral Diner is closed on Thanksgiving, but they do have online ordering for takeout that can be picked up Tuesday and Wednesday.
Emporium Pies now offers local delivery as well as pick-up as late as Wednesday evening. Emporium also ships pies anywhere in the United States.

We can’t list every tamales place in Oak Cliff, but we do know it’s recommended to get holiday orders in early at Tia Dora’s Bakery and Tienda Santa Rosa.
