Bolsa, which opened in a renovated mechanics garage on West Davis in 2008, has closed.
The city’s original farm-to-table restaurant was immediately popular among Dallas foodies and critics. But news came about a year ago that the restaurant’s owners were in hot water with the Internal Revenue Service and were facing lawsuits over unpaid rent for their now-closed restaurants at NorthPark Center and in Plano.
“Bolsa is shut today,” owner Chris Zielke told Culturemap. “I know I’m biased because it was my restaurant, but we felt like it did some important things, and after 12 years, it’s a difficult decision.”
