A children’s boutique that opened in the Bishop Arts District in 2008 is closing.
The Cozy Cottage occupied the corner of Bishop at Eighth until 2015, when the shop moved to the former Cannon’s Village shopping center on West Davis at Edgefield. Owner Cynthia Herndon moved the boutique to Jefferson Boulevard between Hampton and Plymouth in March 2018.
Herndon, an Oak Cliff native and Sunset High School alumna, announced the store closing on social media Jan. 9.
The Cozy Cottage Children’s Boutique has served our wonderful neighborhood for going on 12 years. Meeting and getting to know all of our precious customers and employees has been a true honor.
Today I have made the exciting however difficult decision to retire, and the brick and mortar store will be closing in the near future.
We encourage you to come in and use any remaining gift certificates and Five Star points you may have as soon as possible. There are huge markdowns throughout the store. Now is the time to get some great deals.
