Jess Garland needs students ages 8-18 to sign up for free guitar lessons at Pan African Connection and the South Dallas Cultural Center.
Swan Strings, the nonprofit she founded, employs local musicians to teach weekly lessons for free to any youth who wants them. They also teach at Greiner middle school and Top Ten Records, but those classes are full.
Guitars are provided for in-class use.
