“The Umbrella Academy,” the Netflix superhero television series, is coming to Dallas for its second season.
The show, based upon the comic books of the same name, released the trailer for a July 31 release earlier today. It stars an ensemble cast of Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Justin H. Min and Aidan Gallagher.
The first season of the show has a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes and introduced the world to the seven adopted children of eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves. In the season, the now adult children attempted to put a stop to the end of the world.
The second season, set in Dallas in 1963, will focus on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. After time traveling, the children will realize that they brought the end of the world with them and that it’s their job to stop the end of the world from happening again.
Oak Cliff is tied to Kennedy assassination. Before moving to Irving, Assassin Lee Harvey Oswald lived in Oak Cliff with his with wife Marina before, and at the time of the assassination, Oswald stayed in a rooming house at 1026 N. Beckley Ave.
Find out if the Hargreeves children save the world on July 31, and if Oak Cliff is featured, when season 2 of the Umbrella Academy is released on Netflix.
