The late blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan gives epic bass face in photos recently released photos from the collection of a prolific Austin photojournalist.

Photographer Lisa Davis documented everything from politics to live music in Austin from about 1978 to 1995.

More than 29,000 images comprise her archives at the Austin History Center, which are being digitized. The center began rolling out images from the collection to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the photographer’s death.
