We’re not kissing in the streets just yet, but employees of Methodist Dallas Medical Center were in high spirits Monday morning as the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine was given in North Texas.

The hospital received delivery of 5,850 doses of the vaccine this morning, and the first injection was given at 10:10 a.m., the first in North Texas. Methodist was one of four hospitals in the region to receive the vaccine, and about 120 people are expected to be vaccinated there today.
